A group from Colorado died in a head-on collision with a semi-truck in Nebraska on Tuesday morning. A combination of speed and icy road conditions is believed to be contributing factors to the accident that led to the death of three men and one woman traveling in a pickup truck between the Waco and Utica exits at around 7 a.m., according to the York County Sheriff’s Department. The Sheriff’s Office says the pickup was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, crossed the median into the westbound lane and collided with the semi. The driver of the semi was not injured. No identities have been released. Interstate 80 westbound was closed for several hours, diverting interstate traffic at the Utica exit for nearly three hours, according to our ABC affiliate NTV.
