Stray cow in road leads to the final destination of trucker

A truck driver was k*lled Monday evening after colliding head-on with a cow standing in the road. The accident happened on October 22nd at around 9:45 p.m. in Douglas County, Oregon. According to Fox 12 Oregon, the unnamed driver was driving his 2012 Kenworth hauling double fuel tanks along Highway 38 near milepost 21 when he struck a cow standing in the road, causing him to lose control of the rig, which left the roadway and struck a power pole.

The driver and cow were both found de*d on scene. Some of the 7,500 gallons of gasoline and 2,500 gallons of diesel fuel being hauled by the big rig were spilled in the wreck, prompting a Hazmat response. Cleanup efforts lasted into Tuesday afternoon, shutting down a portion of Highway 38 near mile marker 21.
