Three cars, tractor-trailer collide on the Bypass

Two people were taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after three cars and a tractor-trailer collided at the corner of U.S. Highway 25 and East Cambridge Avenue, according to police at the scene.

Greenwood Police Department officers helped direct traffic around the wreck, while city firefighters poured sand on liquids leaking from one of the cars and Greenwood County EMS staff checked on the people in each of the vehicles.

The vehicles all stopped in the southbound lanes, with the tractor-trailer in the right turning lane at the corner of East Cambridge Avenue. An officer on the scene said that two people were taken to the hospital, but said to contact Greenwood police Public Information Officer Jonathan Link for any further information.
