Truck spills metal onto U.S. 2.

No one was hurt when a semi-truck spilled a load of metal onto U.S. 2 in Vulcan on Wednesday, troopers from the Iron Mountain Michigan State Police post said. Jeremy Sebeck of Escanaba was driving the truck east on the highway near Main Street about 11:50 a.m. when the vehicle overturned, troopers reported. No other vehicles were involved, they added. U.S. 2 traffic was down to one lane while emergency responders cleared debris from the area. Sebeck was cited for a commercial motor vehicle equipment violation, troopers said. The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Norway Police Department, Norway Fire Department, Norway Public Works Department and Dickinson County Road Commission assisted troopers.
