GREENVILLE, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – A man hauling hundreds of pigs says ice cause his tractor trailer to overturn Monday afternoon in Darke County. The crash happened on State Route 121 and Preble County Butler Township Road.
FOX 45 spoke with the driver, Michael Willey, who said he was going about 35 or 40 miles an hour when he crashed due to icy conditions on the road, “I hit a slick spot and it sunk me right down into the ditch.” Willey, who is from Indiana, said he was hauling about 500 feeder pigs. Willey was holding his right arm after the crash. FOX 45 asked if he was injured in the crash, he told us he was just sore. He was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control, and was treated and released at the scene.
