WESLEY CHAPEL — A 48-year-old truck driver caused a three-hour road closure Monday morning when his tractor trailer overturned on an Interstate 75 ramp, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Owen Egues, 48, exited I-75 about 8:40 a.m. on the ramp to State Road 56 in a 1997 Volvo tractor trailer. The truck overturned when Egues went too fast on a turn and lost control, troopers say. The load of sod the truck was carrying spilled onto the highway, causing a three-hour road closure. Authorities said there were no injuries and that the incident was not alcohol-related. Egues was charged by authorities with failure to use due care and faulty equipment.
