Man charged with DUI with death after driving the wrong way on I-77

A man has been charged with DUI with death in connection to a head-on wreck that happened in September on I-77. Nicholas Andrepont was arrested and charged this week. The wreck happened back on September 13, 2017 on I-77 near mile marker 18, just before the Camp Creek exit. Officials on scene of the crash told 59 News Andrepont was driving his Jeep Wrangler the wrong way on the turnpike when he crashed head-on with a tractor trailer. Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash. The passenger, Cody Kincaid, died at the scene. Three others were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Nicholas Andrepont was charged and arraigned on Monday, February 26. He posted a $6,000 bond, according to Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney George Sitler. If convicted, Andrepont could face 3 to 15 years in prison. A trial date has not been scheduled at this time. Stay with 59 News for the latest on this developing story.
