Customers at a diner in California got the surprise of their lives when a parked truck rolled across the parking lot and plowed into several cars. The incident happened on Wednesday, November 21, in Jackson, California. While the truck driver was reportedly inside Mel’s Diner grabbing a meal at the counter, his truck was parked in the back of the restaurant’s parking lot. The truck suddenly started to roll across the diner parking lot, gaining speed and then crashing into several parked vehicles. The truck crash also took out a handrail and knocked down a flagpole.
Customer Sandy Andrade described the sceneto Fox 40: “We heard the first crash and it made me look out the window. I saw the big diesel tractor truck kind of going like this through the window, trying to climb over top of all these cars and I thought for sure it was coming into the restaurant.” Luckily, no one was hurt during the incident. The crash did not cause significant structural damage to the diner.

Earlier this morning, a semi-truck with heavy machinery hit multiple vehicles in Mel & Faye's parking lot. The semi was parked in the upper side of Mel & Faye's parking lot while the driver was inside when the semi's brakes apparently failed, causing the semi to roll through the parking lot and run into a multitude of vehicles in front of Mel & Faye's. There was no damage to the building and business is running as usual for Mel & Faye's.
