Tractor trailer crash closes road in Alburgh
ALBURGH, Vt. (WCAX) Violent winds caused a tractor trailer truck to run off the road.
It happened on Route 2 in Alburgh near the New York/Vermont bridge late Sunday night. Police say the large tractor was found jackknifed in the swamp area about a mile east of the bridge. The driver working for a Canadian trucking company said the trailer was empty and that heavy cross winds caused him to lose control.
Route 2 was shut down for about 1 hour while the truck was removed.
