Video News: Cement truck driver charged with motor vehicle homicide

LA VISTA, Neb. (WOWT) — The driver of a cement truck that tipped over and killed two men near La Vista last October has been charged with motor vehicle homicide.
Twenty-year-old Austin Monroe Holloway was charged with the offense in Sarpy County late Friday afternoon. His bond was set at $50,000. He can be released pending trial by posting 10 percent of his bond. Holloway was driving the truck near 120th and Giles Road in October. The fully loaded truck was turning right off of Giles to head south when it tipped over on top of the car waiting to make a turn. Inside that car, Michael Dearden and Phillip Hertel, both 23, were killed by the impact.
